In this session we will start by digging into the ELPAC Practice tests and use them to review the rigorous academic language required by the test for our students. Participants will engage in an activity where they will classify the language used in the ELPAC based on whether it is in use in the classroom or needs to be introduced to ELs. Then we will transition into deconstructing one ELPAC task type to determine what knowledge skills, and abilities the students needs in order to be successful on the ELPAC. We will also look at what practices need to happen in both Designated and Integrated ELD.
